Yamaha Music School of Fredericksburg
There is joy to be found in learning to make the 88 black and whites sing the tune that you hope to hear. And Yamaha Music School offers so many opportunities to learn many facets of the art of the piano.
First, all of Yamaha's teachers are college graduates who are trained and certified by the Yamaha Corporation of America Music Education System. But this school offers so much more than the basics. Yamaha's students have many opportunities to share their music with others. It participates in the National Federation of Music Clubs Junior Music Festival in Manassas, as well as the Rappahannock Music Society Jazz, Rags and Blues Festival, and the Sonatina Festival.
In the summer, classes in composition are offered. Yamaha's students are frequent winners in the Virginia Federation of Music Clubs Junior Composition Contest, as well as the National Music Teachers Composer's Contest, and the Yamaha Junior Original Concert Series.
"Music for Kids" features an exciting, active music program in small group classes especially suited to 3 and 4 year olds. Picture the youngsters singing, learning body movement, swinging to their tapping on rhythm instruments and becoming introduced to keyboard playing. They are delightful!
Other courses are specially designed for Juniors, the 4-6 year olds, Young Musicians for the 7-10 year olds and Keyboard Encounters for teens and adults. Older beginners are welcome. It is never too early, or too late, to connect with your musical muse.
