Beck's Antiques & Books
An independent antique store, Beck’s Antiques & Books carries a substantial and ever-changing array of fine antiques from local homes and estates. Proprietors Bill and Susan Beck have been in business since 1973 and are well-known in the region as a clearing house for decorative and fine arts.
With an inventory largely pre-dating 1870, Beck’s specializes in American and especially regional furniture, although they also carry English, Continental and Oriental pieces. There is a large variety of ceramics, silver flatware, and estate jewelry. You will also find textiles, glassware, pottery and brass candlesticks.
The selection of used books concentrates on Civil War and Virginia history, along with reference books on decorative and fine arts, architecture and urban planning. Beck’s also carries cookbooks, gardening books, and children’s books.
